John Lewis
Our hearts and minds are with the family of Civil Rights hero, Congressman John Lewis. For decades, John Lewis held the torch for justice in America. Although his passing is a sad moment for black people and the world, we also mark it as a celebration of the life of a luminary, leader and legend.
John Lewis knew what it meant to sacrifice for a cause greater than himself, and he understood that freedom isn’t free. He took risks, and placed himself in danger to fight for what he thought was right.
We should all be so lucky to find a cause that we can believe in so much that we are willing to give all that we have. John Lewis knew the meaning of his life, and he strove to make the most out of every single day that he spent on this earth.
Rest well, Congressman.
You will be missed.
